FJ60 Front Suspension Install (Terrain Tamer Parabolic)

Jack up the frontend

Wheels off
Remove shocks
Undo ubolts

On one side
Jack up diff so weight is off the spring
Remove shake nuts and keeper plate.

Remove nut and keeper bolt from pin
Remove pin

Remove shake
Remove rubber bushes

Repeat the last few steps on the other side

The spring can be dragged out now

Fit the new bushes in to either end of the new spring

Fit new bushes in to the fixed end

Place spring into the fixed end fixed end

Use the molly great supplied insode the bushes.

Insert the new pin making sure it is seated properly.

Fit new washer and nut and tighten

Fit keeper bolt making sure holes line up first.

Molly grease
Install shackle
Loosely fif new nuts and washers
Install grease nipples in all three pivot points

Lower down the diff and lin up the pin and divets, this is important as it makes sure it’s linked up correctly.

Drop in new ubolts

Resuse the original clamp plate making sure the shock mount is in the correct orientation.

Install the four new nuts and washers hand tighten to the hole and bolt line up and plate is kept in place.

It is needed to be kept loose to align the other side easily.

The new shock can be un packaged.

Follow the instructions to activate.

Fully extending and reacting to remove any air.

Install old washer and new rubber on lower pin

Install

New washer and rubber on upper end.

Slide lower e d on to pin

Fit and rubber and old washer

Keep in place with old bolt and washer.

Compress the shock low enough to line up with the top mount.

Fit new rubber and washer.

Install new nylock nut.

This side is new complete. We’ll come back later and finally tighten all of the nuts and bolts.

Move round to the other side.

Basically repeat what you have done.

Raise diff, newspring , lower diff, align, ubolts, install shock.

In my opinion this is the important part, go back and tighten .

2 off keeper plate nuts M12
6 off pivot pin nuts
8 off ubolt nuts
2 off lower shock bolts
2 off upper nylocks.

Jack up on side
Remove wood.
Install wheel
Lower to ground

fully tighten wheel nuts

Repeat on the other side

Test drive and work put of it was with the money and effort.
